This weekend the Huskies run the gauntlet more or less, having to brawl against Boston University and Boston College in the same weekend, an unpleasant notion for just about any team in the league.
In a way, these two games are fairly similar. BU and BC rank highly in team offense, middle of the pack in team defense, and are packed with draft picks and highly touted players. The Huskies have Kevin Roy. BU and BC are highly ranked and are both in the top 10, while the Huskies got a few votes in a poll in the beginning of the year.
The Huskies need to follow the same formula to beat either of those teams. Limit defensive mistakes, have Rawlings stand on his head, and have the offense produce. If you want a good example look at how Northeastern beat BC in their first match-up. The Huskies got scoring from all 4 lines and kept the pressure up all game.
The Huskies are already the heavy underdogs in this weekend. If they want any points, they need a 60-minute effort and limited mistakes. Northeastern tends to play hard against their Boston rivals, which is a good thing- the real question is whether it’ll be enough to garner the Huskies some much needed points.
