(apologies for lateness)
Northeastern dropped 2 games to Merrimack this weekend, also dropping the season tiebreaker with them despite starting off with their 3-2 win.
The Huskies are a ridiculous riddle that no one can seem to decipher. People talked about Rawlings being a potential top goalie in the league before the season started- now we’re talking about Mountain stealing his spot. We cast worries looks at the blueline while talking about the many goals the Huskies’ deep offense would score. Now we praise the defense for playing well and criticize the offense for failing to do much of anything. Worst of all, NU played two games against a team they should beat (and have proven they can), but failed to twice.
We all know why NU failed, their goaltending was subpar, and the offense failed to step up to the challenge. Offense is the biggest problem right now, and they need to fix it right now. It is inexcusable a team with guys like Ferriero, Karlsson, Pimm, Saponari, and Roy are failing to light the lamp.
