What’s not to like? Lowell finished second, close behind BC, battling for the top slot all the way until near the end of the season. Lowell has essentially no question marks on their roster right now. They return all their defensemen from last year as well as their goalie, on a team that was third in defense in the league (and with Merrimack as #2, I think Lowell will rise even higher this year). They return 75% of their goals scored from last year, and have tons of younger guys who really excelled, particularly Scott Wilson.
Lowell simply has the fewest question marks and looks like they can definitely get off to a very strong start, which is why I rank them #1.
