Saturday’s game wasn’t the cleanest game, or the smoothest game in terms of passing and transitioning. But it was a consistent game. More importantly, it was a game where the Huskies clearly cared. The Huskies played hard from the drop of the puck to the OT winner. They got very physical, and stood up to BU. Despite being down an entire line of guys who would normally play, they took what they had and won with it. If the Huskies tried this hard and put up this consistent of a game every weekend, we’d be talking about the playoffs.
For a final game in which our place was already decided, it was a good way to end the season. An OT winner over a hated rival, and pushing them down to a 3 seed. A small measure of revenge after being eliminated on Friday. It was a season that had it’s moments, it’s thrills and excitements, and more than it’s fair share of disappointments. But now we look ahead to next year.
