I’m keeping this extra brief, since I’m running late. Northeastern is in the end-stretch, just 4 games left, and is facing pretty long odds at getting a playoff spot. Maine has some massively scoring players (most notably Spencer Abbott with 52 points).
Luckily, Northeastern returns Steve Quailer, who can hopefully re-inject some offense back into the lineup that has been lacking recently. Northeastern defense needs to step it up and shut down the high-scoring Maine team. Maine’s goalies aren’t that impressive, so Northeastern needs to pour on the pressure and hammer them constantly to force mistakes.
Northeastern is a clear underdog in this series. However, they’ve persevered against far better teams, and if they play like they have against Minnesota, Michigan, and Notre Dame, there’s no reason why they can’t win.
