Postgame thoughts: A Messy Win

That was an incredibly sloppy game, and it’s honestly hard to say that Northeastern deserved to win that one. To be honest, I didn’t think either side really deserved the win. Pretty much every goal scored was incredibly sloppy, with players swarming all over the puck.

With Ferriero and Quailer gone for the forseeable future (Ferriero out for the season, Quailer 3-5 weeks), the style of play clearly had to change somewhat, and it’s good to see that in a way it did. There was more balanced time among the 4 lines, and there was a greater emphasis on crashing the net, something we haven’t been doing for far too long.

Northeastern now has to face off against BC on Monday, and while this was a messy start, it’s something to build off for Monday.
