Post-game recap: giant killers

Another win against another top-ranked team.

Fun with Math:

-Steve Quailer now has a ridiculous 9-game point streak, with a 6-8-14 line during that time

-Chris Rawlings now leads all of Hockey East with a .931 save percentage

The Bigger Picture

-Northeastern is 7-0-1 in their last 8 games, 5 of which came against ranked opponents

-Northeastern now sits at 18 in the PWR, with a lot of 2 and 3 way ties ahead of them

This was another rough game. Finally scoring on 2 Power Plays is nice, but getting 12 opportunities should make that a given. At least now we know our 5-on-3 is decent. But letting up a SHG, and another (though since they pulled their goalie it was technically 5×5) is not good. Minnesota also had lost 2 of their top players. Nevertheless, Northeastern got the win, and now can move on to an exhibition game next week where they can work on some of these problems.
